Finally! JML got back to me late Sunday night, emailing that he had read the manuscript and sent comments to my chair. He said he was satisfied, and that he would sign. Yay! What a relief!

Tuesday was spent running around like a chicken with its head cut off. I had to get his signature, but the dept. had been moved temporarily elsewhere -- a part of campus I never go to. So, of course, I got lost. Then I had to get some more signatures from my department and the grad division. Thankfully, the form allowed for the graduate adviser to sign in place of the dept. chair, especially fortunate since the chair didn't seem to be coming back that afternoon, and the grad adviser was holding office hours. Then I submitted to the special collections office of the library, and the person there went through the whole checklist of things I needed. Then I walked some paperwork over the Grad Division Office, and I'm DONE!!!

Now... the job market. Ergh.

YAY!

When they invite you to march in a graduation ceremony? Do it. Otherwise it's going to feel like there was never an ending, except this nightmarish chasing of signatures.

Though you could also have a party!

So happy for you that you finished!

Oops. I missed the deadline to file the paperwork to be part of the commencement ceremony. Ah well.

I will be going out with friends to celebrate, though! Thanks so much for your encouraging words over the past few months. It's nice to have someone respond supportively, out of the void of the internet.
